Looking Smart
Even with today’s prerogative of people on being unique and strong drive to express one’s self through his fashion style, there are things that can still be considered as “too much”. If you are someone who wants to be unique when it comes to clothing style but still wants to be taken seriously and be respected by other people, you should know the line between being unique and just being plain lousy.
You may not be a fan of formal attire or business suits, but if the situation calls for it, you should also know how to obey. Situations like this could be the required employee attire for office hours, formal events and business interactions. If you are to be introduced to a businessman for the very first time, chance is that you wouldn’t want to trust him with your business if he is wearing a seemingly too small and fitted shirt together with a baggy pair of pants with the waist line almost reaching below his hips and showing his undergarment. The impression this sight will have on you is that the person in front of you is like a child wearing a very small top and his father’s pants. For this reason, you should also know when you are needed to be formal and presentable.
Being presentable doesn’t always mean that you have to wear formal or business clothes. Most of the time, looking neat and tidy is enough. This style is commonly categorized as smart casual attire where you are not wearing that three-piece suit but instead a very comfortable yet smart-looking pair of pants or a skirt and a nice and neat-looking shirt, polo or blouse.
